Het Amsterdamse Glijfestijn Olympic Stadium – Cancelled

From 24 December 2021 to 9 January 2022, experience winter in Amsterdam at one of the city’s most beautiful locations: the Olympic Stadium. In the open air and with plenty of space, you can enjoy the winter cosiness. Skate hand in hand on the centre spot of the stadium, slide down the tube-slide with jitters in your stomach, find the way out in the maze and cover metres on the cross-country track. Get all your friends and family together to go curling and end the day with a nice cup of hot chocolate or a cold beer. Together, we will quickly slide out of 2021 to start 2022 with a bang and a positive attitude!

Winter Activities at Amsterdam Glijfestijn
The Amsterdam Glijfestijn is the winter event of 2021 / 2022. The event is completely set up according to the applicable corona measures and gives you the ultimate winter experience at a unique location in Amsterdam. At the Amsterdam Glijfestijn you can enjoy the following winter activities:
Skating on the ice rink
Ice skating on the centre spot of one of the most iconic places in Amsterdam: The Olympic stadium. While you skate hand in hand with your loved ones, you have a view of the entire grounds and enjoy the greatest Christmas hits together. A truly unique experience!
Dare to go off the tube slide
What should you not miss at a slide party? Sliding of course! Feel the tingling in your stomach as you slide down the tube-slide. Are you up to it?
Find your way in the winter maze
Take a step into our maze and lose yourself in a wintery world. Find the right way out by making your way through the maze. If you get lost, climb the watchtower quickly and find the exit from the air.
Enjoy the cross-country trail
Together with your friends or family, cover metres on the cross-country skiing course and a beautiful winter landscape. Find out which of you is a real pro and can win an Olympic medal at the next Winter Games!
Compete in a game of curling
Would you like to come and play curling with your friends or family? The curling lane opens every day at 09:00. Until 12:00 hrs the curling lane is open for everyone. Between 12:00 and 17:00 it is by reservation. To ensure yourself and your loved ones of a place, you can reserve a court. The reservation of a curling lane costs €25,-. This €25 will be returned to you in the form of a cash card for drinks. Check the ticketshop to reserve your lane.
Enjoy the snow in the Snowplay area
Would you like to immerse yourself in a paradise full of snow? That is possible in the Snowplay area! Make snow angels, throw snowballs and hide under a big pile of snow. You don’t have to worry about freezing hands, because it won’t get cold. This snow is magical!
Enjoy a snack and a drink
We are proud to announce that popular restaurants Van Dam, Ron Gastrobar and No Rules will open their doors at The Amsterdam Slide Festival! Culinary delights in the most cosy winter environment, what more could you ask for?

The Olympic Stadium is easily accessible by car and public transport. If you come by car you can park in the parking garage Olympic Stadium.
