During the Winter Festival Amsterdam, Fabrique des Lumières Amsterdam has a very special show of interest to young and old. Namely, the show Destination Cosmos takes you to the world of stars, planets, nebulae, gas clouds and supernovas. This special show can be visited from 14 October 2023 to 7 January 2024.

Destination Kosmos at Fabrique des Lumières

Fabrique des Lumières Amsterdam is the largest digital art centre in the Netherlands and is located on the grounds of the Westergasfabriek. During the winter months, the special show: Destination Cosmos can be visited. This Immersive Space Experience is ready to chase you through a world of stars, planets, nebulae, gas clouds and supernovas!

From the European Space Centre in Kourou (French Guiana) to Neil Armstrong’s first steps on the moon and the first robotic ‘selfie’ on Mars, this star-studded journey goes beyond the boundaries of our solar system to show us exactly how vast the universe is.

After being launched from Earth, you will hold on to your imaginary helmets as you skim over craters and cracks on Mars. Jump to Jupiter, glide through Saturn’s rings and beyond, and prepare to go deeper and deeper…. into the universe!

To visit a show at Fabrique des Lumières Amsterdam, you need a ticket in advance for a specific visit day and start time. Besides the Destination Cosmos show, other shows are also running. How to get there by public transport

  • Bus 21 from Amsterdam CS station, bus stop Van Hallstraat/Westergasfabriek.
  • Tram 3 from the city centre, stop Van Limburg Stirumplein or Van Hallstraat/ Westergasfabriek.

How to get there by car

  • From the A10 motorway: take exit S103/S104 (Haarlem), then follow the signs to the city centre via Haarlemmerweg. Via this link you can book a parking space at Q-Park Westergasfabriek at an attractive price
