The largest Christmas market in Amsterdam is the one next to the ice skating rink on Museumplein. The Ice*Village is known for the wonderful combination of skating and shopping in a magical winter landscape. In 2024, the market can be visited from Thursday 12 December to Thursday 26 December.
The Christmas market has now closed but the cosy skating rink on Museumplein is still open until 2 February 2025. If you are looking for Christmas atmosphere, you can visit the Winter Paradise at the RAI until 4 January 2025.

Christmas Market Amsterdam
This Christmas market is already in its eighth edition and guarantees a fun day for everyone, from young to old. More than 45 Christmas stalls and various places to eat and drink make this market the ideal location for a Christmas experience to remember.
The central location of the Christmas market on Museumplein makes it easy to combine with a visit to one of Amsterdam’s museums. Most museums and attractions are also open during the Christmas weekend in Amsterdam.
Entrance fee
The Christmas market on Museum Square is free to visit during opening hours, and no ticket is required to enjoy the market. However, if you’d like to skate on the charming ice rink located at the Christmas market, a ticket is required.
Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth (if still available), but we recommend buying them in advance to avoid disappointment. There are two ticket options:
