This Christmas market is already in its eighth edition and guarantees a fun day for everyone, from young to old. More than 45 Christmas stalls and various places to eat and drink make this market the ideal location for a Christmas experience to remember.

The central location of the Christmas market on Museumplein makes it easy to combine with a visit to one of Amsterdam’s museums. Most museums and attractions are also open during the Christmas weekend in Amsterdam.

Entrance fee

The Christmas market on Museum Square is free to visit during opening hours, and no ticket is required to enjoy the market. However, if you’d like to skate on the charming ice rink Amsterdam located at the Christmas market, a ticket is required.

The ticket price is €16.00 per person (including skate rental). Online tickets are available throughout the season except between 20 December and 4 January. During this period, due to the Dutch Christmas holidays, online sales are temporarily unavailable. If you plan to visit between 20 December and 4 January, please purchase your tickets directly at the ticket desk at the rink.

For all other dates, we recommend buying your tickets online in advance to guarantee your entry and avoid waiting times. Check availability below and book your tickets for the ice rink (including skate hire) directly.
