Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Amsterdam. The start of a new year is always special, but celebrating 2023 is even more so. Hopefully, in the new year, we can finally leave the coronavirus behind and toast to a great 2023. Come and enjoy the start of 2023 in Amsterdam, which will be celebrated at various locations around the city.
Firework shows Amsterdam
Unfortunately the City of Amsterdam had to decide to cancel the big firework shows for the New Year celebrations.
On New Year’s Eve, several firework shows in Amsterdam are free to attend. The firework shows are organised by the municipality of Amsterdam and replace the tradition of people lighting fireworks themselves at 12:00 at night. It is therefore forbidden to light fireworks in Amsterdam.
New Year’s Eve party Museumplein – Cancelled
The big New Year’s Eve party will take place on the Museumplein in the centre of Amsterdam. In addition to a fireworks show, there will also be a stage with artists. The definitive programme for the New Year’s Eve party and the firework shows in Amsterdam is not yet known. As soon as we have more information we will share it on this page and on our facebook and instragram
