When is the Amsterdam Winter Paradise?
The Amsterdam Winter Paradise has become a tradition in Amsterdam. Every Christmas holiday, the doors of this wonderful winter festival open. In 2024 there will be another edition. The sixth edition of the Amsterdam Winter Paradise will start on 18 December 2024 and last until 4 January 2025.
What activities are there?
This major winter event in Amsterdam offers the ultimate winter experience. The Winter Paradise is bigger and more spacious than ever, featuring an impressive 4,400 m² of ice fun. Enjoy spectacular shows with performances by popular Dutch artists.
Every year, the Amsterdam Winter Paradise is packed with winter activities. From a large indoor and outdoor skating rink to a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and cross-country skiing, there’s something for everyone. Indulge in a wide variety of food and drinks from the restaurants and food trucks. Daily live performances by well-known Dutch artists make the winter festival truly unforgettable.
Important: Wearing gloves is mandatory on the ice rink, so make sure to bring yours!
How much does a ticket for the Amsterdam Winter Paradise cost?
To visit the Winter Paradise 2024/2025, you’ll need an admission ticket. To manage visitor flow, Winter Paradise is using arrival time slots this year. This means you’ll select a specific time slot to begin your ultimate winter experience. Once inside, you’re welcome to stay until closing time, but re-entry is not permitted if you leave. Capacity is limited per day and time slot, so be sure to book your tickets early!
With your ticket, all attractions are included, except for curling and gambling games, which require an additional fee.

During this edition of the Amsterdam Winter Paradise, many special artists will once again perform. Every day, the music stage is the place to be for artists and DJs. Please note: in 2024 / 2025 it will be compulsory to buy a ticket for a specific day. Do you want to see a particular artist? Then buy your ticket for that day in time. (Please note that sweatpants aren’t allowed after 18:00).

Children’s programme
This year, there will be an extra emphasis on children and families during the day. New this year are shows for children on the music stage with Bing, Buurman & Buurman, Brandweerman Sam, Woezel & Pip, PIM & POM and Juf Roos. During the day, children and their parents will be pampered with a range of all kinds of attractions. Let the little ones enjoy the “Mini Ferris Wheel,” where they can admire stunning views over the winter landscape. The “Kids Silent Disco” will provide a tailor-made dance party for younger visitors. Children can show off their skating skills on a separate children’s skating rink and look forward to a live show featuring the beloved characters Woezel and Pip.

Where is the Amsterdam Winter Paradise held?

How do you travel to the event?
By Car
Parking is possible in the RAI parking garage. You can buy a parking ticket in advance for € 27.00. If you wish to pay in the car park, you pay € 5.50 per hour, with a maximum of € 33.00 per day. Book your parking place here
By Train
The RAI has its ‘own’ train station, Amsterdam RAI. This station is located a stone’s throw away from the RAI complex and is easily accessible by train from anywhere in the country. Follow the signs for RAI Amsterdam when you leave the station. For more information check the NS Travel Planner at www.ns.nl.
By Metro
Metro 50, 51 and 52 all stop at the Amsterdam Winter Paradise! The stop “Europaplein” (line 52) is right in front of the entrance. You can also get off at RAI station (lines 50 and 51). Tram 4 also stops in front of the RAI. Consult 9292.nl for the best connection from your location.

The indoor temperature is around 18 degrees. We do recommend you bring gloves, as they are compulsory at the skating rink.
On the entire event site, only bags will be allowed that in their original and unfolded state do not exceed 30 x 21 x 10 cm.
Yes, there are lockers. A normal locker costs € 6.00 and can only be paid by pin!
Own refreshments, bottles, cans, alcohol, glassware and flammable materials are prohibited at the venue and may not be brought inside.
No, The Amsterdam Winter Paradise is a pin only event. So you can only pay with your debit card.
You can possibly purchase a debit card for € 2.50. Please note that any remaining credit is non-refundable. We therefore recommend not putting too much money on it at once. You can top up your card at any time at no extra cost.
The activities are included in all entrance tickets, so you no longer have to pay for them separately. You can do all the activities without limits. If you have an arrival time in the evening, you can also use the activities. Just make sure you get inside on time, as all activities and the outdoor area close at 10pm.
Please note that activities where you can win prizes, for example: throwing balls or shooting at the shooting gallery, you have to pay extra for.
